Gottlieb's Pinball Pool was produced in 1979. This is an early, 4-player solid state machine that incorporates the classic Gottlieb "drop-target" playfield along with the challenge of completing the 15-balls required in the commonly-used "pool" game motif.
Some of the highlights of the machine (in Gottlieb's words) include:
Features terrific new "REMOTRIP" drop targets -
a single hit also drops opposing target.
Two kick-out holes and two rollovers advance bonus.
Making A-B-C lights captive ball feature for extra ball.
Kick-out holes score bonus when all pool balls are hit.
Also classic is the artwork, characterized by the simplicity of design of
Gottlieb backglasses of the 1970s, along with a fun cartoon-like feel,
and a great robot.
