This photo is of the side of a building on Crown St.,
at the corner of Orange St., in the Ninth Square in New Haven.
For many
years Kern's Sandwich Shop was a mainstay of the
luncheonette crowd. This picture was taken a couple of
years before an urban renewal project was completed in the Ninth Square.
This picture is the first in a series that
shows the same scene evolving over time.
